Ingredients:
- Bananas 2 small
- Almond Butter 4 tsp, divided
- Dark Chocolate Chips 3 Tbsp
Instructions:
- Cut off the thinner ends from the bananas.
- Cut each banana into eight ½-inch-thick slices to yield a total of 16 slices.
- Spread ½ tsp almond butter each onto 8 banana slices and top with the remaining slices.
- Line a plate with foil or parchment paper and transfer the banana sandwiches to the plate. Then freeze for 30 minutes or until firm.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips on High for 30 seconds and stir. Continue to microwave the chocolate in 10-second intervals until fully melted.
- Dip half of each frozen banana sandwich in the melted chocolate.
- Return the sandwiches to the freezer until the chocolate sets, for about 2 minutes.
- Store the sandwiches in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. Serving size: 1 banana sandwich
