Frozen Chocolate-Dipped Banana Bites

Ingredients:

  • Bananas  2 small
  • Almond Butter  4 tsp, divided
  • Dark Chocolate Chips  3 Tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Cut off the thinner ends from the bananas.
  2. Cut each banana into eight ½-inch-thick slices to yield a total of 16 slices.
  3. Spread ½ tsp almond butter each onto 8 banana slices and top with the remaining slices.
  4. Line a plate with foil or parchment paper and transfer the banana sandwiches to the plate. Then freeze for 30 minutes or until firm.
  5. In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips on High for 30 seconds and stir. Continue to microwave the chocolate in 10-second intervals until fully melted.
  6. Dip half of each frozen banana sandwich in the melted chocolate.
  7. Return the sandwiches to the freezer until the chocolate sets, for about 2 minutes.
  8. Store the sandwiches in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. Serving size: 1 banana sandwich
